Social Enterprise Minister ‘Bigs up’ Brum

Following on from the last weeks Social Value Conference, the Minister for Civil Society had a lot of nice words to say about the state of the social enterprise sector in the 2nd City. Comparing it to his native London, he commented on the can-do attitude of Birmingham as an inspiration, and singled out iSE’s CEO Sarah Crawley for particular praise in bringing energy to the local SE scene! Clearly still energised by his visit, he has written an article in The Independent to outline the dynamism and potential of social enterprise in re-defining the current crisis of confidence in markets, and to emphasis the growing importance of innovative approaches to networking and funding.
