iSE | CITYDRIVE 2019 Highlights on Film

In April 2019, iSE delivered their sixth CITYDRIVE, a diverse programme of events for the social enterprise sector, providing space for discussion, learning, co-operation and and participation in Birmingham the Social Enterprise City.

CITYDRIVE was a great week for all those involved – with  talks, arts and heritage trailsmusic walks, marketplaces, networks, a social enterprise conference, micro-fund ‘porridge’ and even a wedding fair – the highlights of which can be viewed here.

We’re delighted to be able to revisit some of these events through three films funded by the USE-IT! Project with thanks to project partners Birmingham City University. Check them out below…

1. Eight local social entrepreneurs pitched to win £500 at the CITYDRIVE Micro-fund event at Soho Social Enterprise Network which saw Mothership Projects CIC take home the prize.

2. The Hands on Handsworth Tour by Legacy West Midlands invited attendees to experience the unexpected and diverse history of Handsworth.

3. Impact Investing for Place Breakfast Meeting hosted by Big Society Capital featured a great panel discussion on how social investment can help build inclusive local economies.
