USE IT | Confused about GDPR?

GDPR is the most significant legal change in how all businesses gain, store and use personal an customer data…. and it happens on 25th May 2018!

iSE is hosting a half day workshop to help you and your social enterprise get to grips with what this change in legislation means to your enterprise.

Do you or your social enterprise…

- Send marketing emails?

- Hold membership details?

- Make payments to other organisations?

This workshop will help you understand the significance of the data you hold, how to ensure compliance with the new Government General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

QUOTE: Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Matt Hancock said:

We are strengthening the UK’s data protection laws to make them fit for the digital age by giving people more control over their own data.

And as these figures show many organisations still need to act to make sure the personal data they hold is secure and they are prepared for our Data Protection Bill.

There is a wealth of free help and guidance available from the Information Commissioner’s Office and the National Cyber Security Centre, and I encourage all those affected to take it up.

WHO: Any social enterprise owner or leader who has data relating to individual contact details such as names, telephone, email.

WHEN: Wednesday 21st March 2018, 9.30am to 12.30pm

WHERE: Women’s Enterprise Hub, 249 Ladypool Road, Birmingham B12 8LF

BOOK: This is a free workshop but places are limited. Please ensure you book by emailing mariam.yate@i-se.co.uk
