Thank You to Everyone Who Supported Social Saturday!

Saturday 13th September 2014, was the UK’s first Social Saturday – a day for everyone to put their spending power to good use and buy from social enterprises.

To mark the day, iSE organised a Social Saturday Festival at the Custard Factory in Digbeth, in the heart of Birmingham’s social enterprise quarter.  It was a great event, which included many stalls, a photo exhibition and wonderful musicians – Janel Antoneshia (@janelantoneshia) and Afr0naut (@Afr0nautUK).

We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event!

If you missed it, you can still find out about the social enterprises who were there:

Polish Expats

Sister Ukhana

Park Lane Garden

Textiles By St. Anne’s

Made By Young People

Enterprise Catalyst

Health Exchange

Citizen Click

See photos from the first Social Saturday Festival on our Facebook page and watch the video, filmed by Citizen Click, to find out what the stallholders had to say.

You help to make the world a better place when you buy from social enterprises – so don’t limit your support to Social Saturday, make every day a day to shop for change!

We hope to see you at the next Digbeth Social Enterprise Market on 12th December.
