SE PLACES | iSE Heads to Salford

iSE Chief Executive, Sarah Crawley, journeys up to Salford today to talk all things social enterprise places.

The Business Group Salford has invited Sarah to share her experience and expertise on founding the Digbeth Social Enterprise Quarter as they look at reinvigorating the ‘historic heart’ of Salford around the Chapel Street area. The steering group involved in the regeneration, which include the Salford City Mayor and Salford City Council, are focusing on activities that will support and promote entrepreneurs and employability through enterprise seminars, workshops, one-to-one advice, mentoring and micro-loans.

Sarah will be talking about place-based support for areas of multiple deprivation, engaging communities, attracting inward funding and the importance of marketplace development.

Salford is an accredited Social Enterprise City since February 2015 through the SEUK Social Enterprise Places programme, which has recently released an Impact Report for the international programme. iSE is delighted to be asked to join the regular meet up and share insights and inspiration with local social enterprises in the Salford area!
