iSE | Social Enterprise Day
Social Enterprise Day 2020 was on Thursday 19th November to mark the occasion we hosted a Social Enterprise Quiz on Zoom. According to Social Enterprise UK there are over 100,000 social enterprises throughout the country contributing £60 billion to the economy and employing two million people.
The campaign this year was #WhoKnew a digital campaign designed to give social enterprises the chance to tell their stories, to show what makes them different from traditional businesses and to shout about the impact of their work. The campaign was all about highlighting the diversity in the sector and was an opportunity for all social enterprises to take part in a public facing campaign. We shared stories about our impact on our social media platforms and highlighted the difference our projects have made.
We had over 15 people join us for fun, laughs and all things Social Enterprise. It was a great way to mark the occasion, to learn more about the sector, network and connect with others.
Social Enterprise UK are hosting the Social Enterprise Futures Summit this week, it’s an interactive two-day digital summit for the social enterprise sector. The event takes place on the 25th and 26th November 2020 . There are loads of great speakers lined up including a former Prime Minister, click here to book your place.
