iSE | Sarah Shortlisted for National Award!
Today we are delighted to announce that our Chief Executive, Sarah Crawley, has been shortlisted for a national award!
Sarah is nominated in the ‘Social Entrepreneur of the Year’ category for the Midlands in the national Forward Ladies annual awards.
Forward Ladies showcase the best of female talent across the UK, have a passion for developing and empowering female leadership. The Forward Ladies National Awards is the largest celebration of successful women throughout the UK. It provides a platform to recognise the extraordinary achievements by women in business through celebration and inspiration of the shortlisted nominees and their stories.
Sarah says, ‘I’m truly delighted to be shortlisted in the Forward Ladies awards this year. It’s often difficult for business leaders to recognise their own achievements as we are focused on leading our businesses, developing our people, considering our markets and managing our income streams. Frequently its hard to find time in a busy day to complete nomination application forms when we see an award that really focuses on our sector (and we often feel uncomfortable saying how good we are!). However, there is a responsibility for business owners to take time to look outwards and consider the greater impact of awards such as Forward Ladies.’
‘Award nomination, shortlisting and wins provide sector recognition of what an organisation does, gives credibility to quality, impact and leadership, and takes your staff teams on that journey of being recognised and feeling valued for all that they do as well – we all have people that have helped us on our own journey to sustainability and success!’
‘At iSE, we’re always moving forwards and looking to innovate how we support and capacity-build the social enterprise sector across the Midlands, and beyond.’
The Midlands awards will be held on Friday 26th October 2018 – so we watch and wait in excited anticipation!
