iSE | Inclusivity and Diversity Statement

iSE 20 Anniversary MASTER 2020 conversations

Over the past few weeks iSE has been having uncomfortable conversations about race and reflecting that it is our responsibility to become vocal, visible challengers of racism in support of Black Lives Matter in the UK but also to continue to actively support inclusivity within our sector.

We recognise its not enough to quietly get on with our work thinking we are doing our best, we need to scrutinise our internal practices and structures and challenge ourselves to create the best possible inclusive work environment and support services for everyone.

Racism and systemic bias are complex societal issues and the social enterprise sector and more broadly the business community must go beyond policies and practices to address inequalities.

We know this will a challenging journey, but we cannot be silent and we cannot be complicit.
